Phyllis Farmer Obituary

FARMER, PHYLLIS L. (FOBER) 79, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully Thursday April 5, 2012 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving mother of Dorene A. Buco and her husband Vincent of Rehoboth, Gary L. Farmer of Lincoln and Holly Sarza of Burrillville, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was the former wife of the late Cecil A. "Bud" Farmer. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Elsie (Stankevich) Fober of Grandview Nursing Home in Cumberland and the late Frank Fober, sister of Helen Bozek and her husband John of Riverside, Frank Fober and his wife Paula of Orlando, FL, and the late Doris Cardono. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was affectionately known as "Aunt Phil" to many others. Phyllis was employed for many years at Burlington Coat Factory and at Michael's Meat Markets in Pawtucket and Cumberland owned by her nephews. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours celebrating her life will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
