I talk about you often. Recalling the time I brought my high school aged son into the office to meet the man who brought him into the world. He is 34 now and I told his wife how you came out to the waiting area with a white wig on, glasses and a cane walking like you were 100. Lol. I also told her how when my son was born you bent down in the OR to get in the picture. Precious memories that will keep you alive in my heart forever. Miss you!

Call the office to make my yearly. I was shocked to find that he passed away last year. Dr Bert delivered my kids and was my physician for over 25 years and was my favorite doctor. I will miss him terribly.

Dr. Bert was the first Doctor I've ever had who was not in a hurry to get you out of his office. He took the time to explain things in lame terms and on many occasions even drew pictures while explaining things to me. His beautiful calligraphy is something I always complimented him on and he enjoyed very much. I will always be thankful for him. My condolences to his family.

I know it's been months but I just recently learned about Dr. Bert's passing. I'm shocked and saddened but I know you're in a better place. Thank you for taking care of my boyfriend and I when we were both young and scared with a baby on the way, 4 years ago. Your kindness, sense of humor will never be forgotten. I'm grateful to having had the opportunity to know you.

I heard recently of Dr. Bert's passing. I came to the practice with a high risk IUD pregnancy. Young and Scared out of my mind. The first seconds upon meeting him I was less anxious and laughing at one of his many jokes. He informed me on statistics and went through everything with a fine toothe comb. Almost every anxious worry I had, had been thrown out the window by this caring loving man. First doctor I ever connected with and would travel 30 minutes just to see. I just had my third child and was blessed to have him through most of my pregnancy. I just wish he got to meet the little one. May his soul rest in peace and his family find peace. He was such a great man and Doctor. They just don't make doctors like him often.

I received a letter in the mail of the passing of Dr John Bert md. He was a truly wonderful well respected doctor I have had him for many years, he always made me feel comfortable. I just learned of Dr. Bert's passing, he was an AMAZING MAN, not just my doctor but someone who truly made me feel so comfortable. He delivered both of my boys over 20 years ago. He was a kind and compassionate person, one of my fondest memories of Dr Bert is after my son Evan was born he had a heart condition one that you couldn't predict, we were in Hasbro for months when Dr. Bert found out he came in to see me and Evan with his gentle smile, his positivity and a great story I think it was the first time I smiled in months and for that I will be forever grateful. Over the years he would always ask about the boy's, my family and my mother he knew she was in a battle also, Cancer took my mother in May she to was 67. Thank you for sharing this wonderful man with so many of us, the stories of his sailing trips, biking adventures, and his Wonderful wife and family. My heart goes out to you all. Dr. Bert will truly be missed by many but not forgotten.

I just found out of Dr. Bert' s passing the other day. I'm shocked and saddened. As a patient of his for the past 20 years, I can say with certainty he was the best GYN ever! He always made me feel comfortable during my exams. We would have our little chit chat and he would assured me that everything was fine in that calm, soothing voice of his. He even cured me of Cervical Cancer. I'm lucky to be here today because of his diagnosis and intervention. I will dearly miss him.
To his wife and family, my heart goes out to you. He was a good man.

"I heard the news today, oh boy....." for 25 years I had the pleasure of being under the excellent care of Dr. Bert. He delivered my son in 1996 and recently helped me ease into menopause! I will never forget him. And he had the most exquisite handwriting... shocking for a doctor...he was different and that's what made him great. May he be in blissful peace. I just tried to book an appointment and heard that Dr. Bert had passed away. It was always so good to see him. He was the best and most caring Doctor I knew. He always made time to listen and very clearly explain and discussed any concerns you might have about your health. He knew my husband is very ill and he made it a point to come in and ask about him right away. I will truly miss him and his compassion for his patients.

I have just learned of Dr. Bert's passing. I was overwhelmed with sadness. He was the best doctor I have ever had. His sensitive side allowed him to listen, sympathize and advise as if he was a member of your own family. He made alarming situation feel tolerable. He always offered the best advice and help.He became "you" to understand. He was extremely educated and made it a point to connect. I loved hid drawings, everything was a systematic story. He will be greatly missed!

He was the last Dr. I seen last year and he gave me hope on my last visit and everything turned out fine, We both high fived each other and said Thank God and Amen. Everything was fine. I will never forget that. Such a kind and caring soul.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of my favorite doctor. Dr. Bert was my doctor since 1987 when his office was in Bristol (with Terri and Dr Jaffe). He became my doctor after experiencing a stillbirth and subsequently became my hero after delivering my daughter and son. He practically held my hand during both pregnancies, treated me as if I was his only patient and did everything possible to assure me during both pregnancies that everything would be fine. I will miss his stories, sense of humor and his calm and caring demeanor. My thoughts and prayers go out to Terri and Dr. Bert's family during this difficult time. I am very sorry. Dr. Bert will surely be missed! He was my Obgyn for 10 years and helped me during a difficult time prior to my son's delivery. Whenever I was at an appointment with him he was funny, honest and just a really great people person. People like Dr. Bert come far and few in between. Dr.Bert was my doctor as well as my mother and 2 sisters. He was one of the kindest most gentle person. He had a way of always making you feel comfortable. He was the doctor that sat with you, felt your pain when things were difficult, and always had a wonderful story to tell. I can tell you that this man's smile every time that door opened always gave a sense of reinusance that things were going to be ok.

Dr. Bert delivered my son 8 1/2 years ago. He made me and my husband feel so comfortable during my labor and distracted us with funny stories between contractions. We greatly appreciated his relaxed demeanor and are always quick to praise him whenever we reminisce about my delivery experience. I remember when I went in for my examines, he would make drawings of the anatomy on the examine sheet to explaine about the problems I was having. I am totally Heartbroken over the loss of Dr. Bert. He was truly a special person. I am the woman that I am today because of him. I am so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Bert delivered my son, via C-section. Because of the surgery, my memory of the birth was hazy. I called the office, asking to speak with the doctor so he could tell me the birth story of my son so I would know it. Dr. Bert was kind and gentle and told me his memories of the delivery.
And today, in his family's wonderful words, I gained more insight into this good doctor: "He will be remembered for his skill as a healer and his kind compassion. He was a gentle man who loved to tell a story."

Teri and family, SO SORRY for your loss. I was a patient of Dr Bert's for over 20 years and even saw Teri for a few visits. He was one of a kind. A real exceptional Dr.! You never felt nervous going to him. He even told me a funny story one time of a guy falling thru the ceilng into the examining room while repairing the air conditioning unit. He was so sweet and I will always remember him. His assistant Tara was the best too, beautiful and always professional and pleasant.
I hope all your broken hearts heal soon and the good memories get you through your rough days.

I was his patient for many years, after I moved to MA I kept on coming back to the RI office because I liked him as my Doctor and did not want to switch to someone closer. He had a great way of explaining and educating me about health matters. He was always cheerful and friendly during my visits, you could tell he loved his profession. He will be missed by his patients.

Dr. Bert was my doctor for 25 years. He saw me through two different pregnancies and delivered my twins. After having my twin boys, I experienced complications and could have died. Doctor Bert saved my life! I will always remember him for that. He was a wonderful doctor and very special person. Both myself, my son and my boss are very saddened by the loss of a great man with a big personality. He delivered my son (now 26) and my bosses 3 boys. Please accept my condolences on the passing of Dr. Bert. It was an honor to have had him as my doctor for the past 20 plus years, he was everything a doctor should be, I will truly miss him. May God embrace you all in comfort during this difficult time.

Dear Mrs. Bert,
I am a long time patient of Dr. Bert. My heart was broken when I heard of his passing. He was my FAVORITE DOCTOR. I looked forward to going to my appointment. He would come into the exam room (not before knocking on the door)say Good Morning & shake my hand, always with a smile. Then he would sit down & we would have conversation & he would always make me laugh, right thru the exam. I felt he wasn't only my Doctor, he was also a friend. I will miss him very much.
No one could ever top his smile or his quality of care.
My deepest sympathy to you & the family.
