ERMOND GARCEAU Obituary
Born in North Providence, a son of the late Margaret (Cardell) and Ermond E. Garceau Sr., Ermond was raised in Johnston and had lived in North Providence for the past 38 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves 3 children, Denise A. Massotti, David M. and Ermond E. Garceau III, all of North Providence; 6 grandchildren, Danielle, Erica, Nicholas and Anthony Garceau, Michael and Matthew Massotti; 2 great-grandsons, Caleb Garceau and Frankie Falso; and a brother, Joseph C. Garceau of Greenville. He had been the brother of the late Sarah E. Pagnozzi of Smithfield.
Mr. Garceau worked for various trucking companies before his retirement in 1993 due to illness and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 251.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. with a funeral on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence, followed by burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. I will miss Jessie always having a joke to share with me. "Did you hear the one about"??? Jessie's ability to always laugh at life in spite of health problems is a tribute to his sense of humor and never taking himself too seriously.
