When Betty came to Saunderstown many years ago, I was privileged to get to know her. We traveled a bit together. We attended some conventions here in RI. We shared many a meal. We laughed over much. Betty was a woman of honor and dignity and had a warmth and love for her fellow travelers on this journey. I cannot wrap my mind around her absence. It all happened too quickly to comprehend. The loss is immense here in RI among our community. She was a loyal friend and is sadly missed.

We have all truly lost one of the good ones! I had the extreme good fortune to work along side Betty at Plainfield H.S. Her commitment and compassion to help others was paramount. Not only was Betty a highly skilled school psychologist, but she had all the "right stuff" to be a great co-worker and friend. Betty loved to play hostess. I recall a couple of visits to her homes in Saunderstown and later all her Guidance girlfriends,Darlene, Donna, Noreen and myself went to NY.She always put out the red carpet for you! We all enjoyed her love of life, spirit and sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I cannot believe we have lost a wonderful friend like Betty. We had lunch together in NY in October and looked forward to some travel at Spring Break. She was among the finest teachers and travel buddies there could be. My deepest sympathy to her family, colleagues, and friends.

Betty is my beloved cousin. I remember her sweet smile and gentle ways. I can easily picture her in heaven visiting with her Mom and Dad.I am sure she is happy now and watching over all who loved her.

Betty was a wonderful person with a big heart. She thought of everyone and always gave so much of herself to others. I enjoyed working with her in Plainfield and visiting her in Narragansett. She is an inspiration to all who knew her. My deepest sympathy to her family.

For many years we shared the same home, went to the shore together and laughed constantly. My family and hers shared the same house and when we were growing up, we spent many goodtimes together. I'm sorry that Betty Ann is gone but I know that she's in a good place!

I am sitting at my desk at Moosup Elementary School where I first met Betty. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing as she was a dear friend. My last visit with her was so delightful this August. She cooked my daughter and I a wonderful meal after visiting URI. She was a fantastic school psychologist and will be missed by many. My sincere sympathy to her family.

With a heavy heart at the unexpected loss of such a wonderful person and neighbor. She adopted Narragansett as her second home, enjoying the beach and working in her yard as the perfect complement to her professional life. We discussed that she had the best of both worlds --New York and Rhode Island. It is still difficult to comprehend. She will truly be missed. Our sympathy to Betty's family and close friends.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself … any man’s death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
