Harold Stouffer Obituary
Mr. Stouffer is retired after 15 years with the Department of Defense as a Security Specialist. Prior, he retired after 16 years with the U.S. Army and 4 years with the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Shippensburg High School, Shippensburg, PA and Shippensburg University, Shippensburg. He was a member of VFW Memorial Post 3522 as well as Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71, CharlesT own.
He is survived by his loving wife Evonne OQuinn, whom he had been married to for seven years; two daughters, Tricia Saunders and husband James, Manassas, VA and Melissa Whipkey and husband Joel, Warrenton, VA; five sisters, Sylvia Jane Chamberlin and husband Donald, Orrstown, Sondra A. Perry, York, PA, Diane K. Mickey and husband Donald, Chambersburg, PA, Melonie Stouffer, Chambersburg, and Evelyn Hoch, Orrstown; three brothers, John C. Stouffer and wife Joyce, Shippensburg, PA, Herbert A. Stouffer and wife Gloria, Shippensburg, and Kenneth A. Stouffer and wife Dawnie, Chambersburg; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and John Stouffer; one sister, Barbara A. Snowberger; and three brothers, Dana Stouffer, James Stouffer and Ronald Stouffer.
A Memorial service arranged by Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town will be held at Orrstown United Brethren in Christ Church, Orrstown, PA at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 4, 2011 followed by Otterbein Cemetery, Newburg, PA officiated by Pastor Ross Walker. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association - Jefferson County Chapter, C/O Patricia Ott, 145 Donald Drive, Charles Town, WV 25414 or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
