Scott Smith Obituary

Scott Michael Patrick Smith was born at Mercy Hospital in San Diego just six months after his parents and older brothers moved to California from Springfield, Massachusetts. He often playfully boasted that he and his younger sister were the only native Californians in a family of transplants. Scott is one of five sons and a daughter born to Art and Dorothy Smith of Ramona, CA. He owned and operated an electrical contracting company which served the North County coastal communities for many years. Scott embraced life through travel, motorcycle riding and even bull riding.
He is survived by two wonderful daughters, Tamara and Jordyn.
Services will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Encinitas, CA, on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 10 am. A celebration of life shall follow a mass dedicated to Scott's memory.

Wow Scott, I have finally found you after all these years and this is the news I get. Not what I expected at all.
We rode horses together in Chester, NH. I was lucky to be Scotty's best friend for the two years he lived across the street. We were only kids 7th and 8th grade but we were lifelong friends. You found me in 1973 and we lost touch. I am so sorry I didn't find you sooner, so I could tell you that I am so sorry for locking you in Smitty's barn. Your friend always

Dad,

You've had my heart my entire life and you always will. You were more than a father to me... you were my best friend and my favorite person in the world. In raising me as a single father, you've taught me strength, love, and honor. You've shown me what unconditional love feels like. You've encouraged my dreams and have been by my side through everything and I loved every single minute of it. I miss you so much every single day- everything about you. You were the perfect dad and I couldnt have had a greater honor in life than being your daugher.

"I love you as big as the world"

Your baby,
Tamara

I'm going to make you very proud dad.
