Robin Andre Obituary

RAPID CITY - Robin Lea Andre, 47, Rapid City, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born August 3, 1961, in Rapid City to Robert and Betty (Ellis) Andre and lived and worked in Rapid City most of her life. She attended school at Douglas School in Box Elder. She was a quiet, loving and giving mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and enjoying the excitement generated by the children. She loved how the magic of the season made their faces and eyes shine. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to all who needed it and had an uncanny knack of sensing what was needed before she was asked. No task was too menial or too hard. She loved pink roses, antiques, anything to do with Harley Davidson's and her dog, Chandel. Her greatest love in life was her daughter, Alicia, whom she could never do enough for and whom she never stopped thinking of. She was loved and cherished by her whole family and her memory will be forever in our hearts. She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Tracy, and her mother, Betty Andre, both of Rapid City; two brothers, Kurt Andre, Salem, and Cole Andre, Rapid City; two sisters, Roxanne Andre (Allen Steier) and Rae Lynn Andre, all of Rapid City; nephews, Levi Steier, Half Moon, NY, Alex Steier, Box Elder, and Wade Steier, Brandon Johnson, Jory Andre and Aidan Komes, and niece, Shannon Steier-Bailey (Jeff), all of Rapid City; great-nephews, Taylor Bailey, Connor and Deklan Steier and great-nieces, Paige Steier, Alea and Evan Bailey; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Andre. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be a private family ceremony at Elk Vale Cemetery prior to the Memorial Service. Condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.behrenswilson.com.

Robin was my best friend way back in grade school. I remember many fun moments. Those were the days when us girls always had to spend the night at each others homes. We went to school at Douglas together for years till my family moved across town. I havent seen or talked to her forever but I will never forget her. My heart goes to her family for understading why now with Robin leaving this world so young. It appears she had a good life and left behind a beautiful daughter. Bless you all and just remember all the special moments and that she is resting peacefully and watching over all of you. her friend from years ago Audrey
