Survivors include his wife, Margie, and a son, Andy Kainz, both of Custer; two daughters, Dawn Murray, Custer, and Renee Nicks, Vermillion; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Ken Kainz, Custer; and four sisters, Gladys Babcock, Rapid City, Gayle Anderson and Vera Ellerton, both of Custer, and Grace Meier, Fulda, Minn.
Arrangements are pending with McColleys Chapel of the Hills.
