James Sattler Obituary

BLACK HAWK - James Edwards "Jim" Sattler, 47, Black Hawk, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at his home.

He was born Oct. 16, 1963 in Rapid City, where he was raised, often relocating to San Jose, Calif. He attended Rapid City Stevens High School.

Jim will always be remembered for his charismatic and charming personality. Despite lots of hardship, he loved people and enjoyed helping others. For the past decade he enjoyed the company of his dear friend, Trinity and giving much care and love to their two dogs, Rex and Killer.

Jim will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include but are not limited to his very dear friend, Trinity Peoples and her daughter and son-in-law, Treasure and Logan Pung; a brother, Mike (Kim) Sattler in Sioux Falls; a niece, Raini, and nephew, Skylar; a sister, Lisa (Will) Burley-Howell in Rapid City; and uncle, Fred Guerrero in Los Angeles; and many, many friends.

Preceding him in death were his father, Edward James Sattler, Playa Del Rey, Calif.; his mother, Carmen Guerrero, Hot Springs; and his grandfather, Cecil Guerrero, Rapid City.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today at Edstrom & Rooks Funeral Service at Serenity Springs Chapel of Tranquility in Rapid City. A time with the family will be offered one hour before services.

Rest in Peace, Jim! We love you and will never forget you!

I worked with Jim and his grandfather Cecil many years ago at Landstrom's. He was always so nice and he always had a smile on his face. I will keep his friends and family in my prayers-Brenda Buck-Gortmaker. Rapid City,SD
