Kathleen Janis Obituary
Survivors include nine sisters, Verna Crooked Eyes, Sandstone, Minn., Jerilyn Elk, Wounded Knee, S.D., Belva Janis, Ketchum, Okla., Michelle Janis/Blossom, Tahlequah, Okla., Mona Janis, Rapid City, S.D., and Patricia DuBray, Clover Curry, Latrell Plenty Arrows and Denise Plenty Arrows, all of Allen, S.D.; stepmother, Winfred Janis, Porcupine, S.D.; and special friend, David Nadeau, Denver.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Julius Episcopal Church in Porcupine, with the Rev. Craig West, Deacon Ben Conquering Bear, and the Rev. Abraham Tobacco officiating. Burial will be at St. Julius Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
