Marlyce Stader Obituary

RAPID CITY - Marlyce L. "Mitzi" Stader, 76, Rapid City, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at home.

Our Mother has been married to her best friend and husband, Wilbur E. "Ed" Stader, for 56 years and her two daughters have been blessed to call her Mother and friend as well. We wanted to share the two most special things that our Mother lived while she was on this earth: she loved her family with all her heart and she gave the "shirt off her back" to anyone in need.

Her giving spirit will be missed by all who knew her and with her passing; our family will never be the same.

Our beautiful Mother, we know you are watching over us in Heaven and we will continue to pattern our lives after you and your giving heart. Thank you for loving us and showing us how to "be the best we can be "no matter what."

She is survived by her husband, Ed Stader, Rapid City; daughters, Shari (Stader) Bradstream, Box Elder, and Danette "Dani" (Stader) Peters, Eleva, Wis.; sons-in-law, David Bradstream and Carnell Peters; grandchildren, Ian Stader, Rapid City, Levi Bradstream and wife, Sara, Copperas Cove, Texas, Brenna (Peters) Justice and husband, Robert, Eau Claire, Wis., Anthony Bradstream and wife, Lana, Copperas Cove, and Jake Peters, Menomonie, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Jordan Page, Lubbock, Texas, Hailey Bradstream, Copperas Cove, Lauran Bradstream, Copperas Cove, Zander Justice, Eau Claire, Dylan Stader, Rapid City, and Kiera Bradstream, Copperas Cove; and great-great-grandchild, Aiden Page, Lubbock; brothers, Alan (Denise) Kraft, Brainerd, Minn., and Dennis (Priscilla) Kraft, Aberdeen; and sisters, Jacqueline Vezzoli, Hinkley, Minn., and Mayren (Jack) DeCrans, Fridley, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; an infant son, Edward Alan; and an infant great-granddaughter, LaLon Reve' Justice.

Cremation services are scheduled with memorial services at a later date.

My goodness! MRs. Stader was always such a sweet lady. I remember her when I was in elementary school and she was the playground lady. She was such a loving person that will be missed my everyone she touched!

Mitzi was the welcoming committee every morning, the first year I started teaching in Sturgis. Her love for our students was shown every morning, making sure our playground was safe and respectful. She was a grand lady that will be remembered by many.

I had the priveledge of working with Mitzi in Sturgis when Ed was principal. I enjoyed working with both of them. Mitzi had a quick witted sense of humor and was so much fun to joke around with. May you rest in peace dear friend.
