I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Bret. As a little girl i always looked forward to attending the annual summer picnic, and the one hot dog that was always scorched beyond recognition on the grill. May angels lead him in.

Beth, Assurro and Violet,
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family with the passing of your soulmate and husband, and REALLY cool father. I spent many memorable times with him at work just sharing our common interests, listening to him explain things about astronomy or fossils or any number of other topics. I am glad I was able to share some of my music videos with him and discuss what he liked or did not like about them. I will miss his wackey sense of humor and his positive attitude and that BIG smile. Peace and love to all.

Hi Beth: I am so especially sad for those wonderful kids , on the other hand so glad I invited Bret to go geode collecting at a locality near my residence. ( he did the best of all of us finding them) and having him visit my collections the same day, earlier this year. Also seeing him at the show. I won't forget how Bret was very suporting helping me with my book.. Brets name is listed in the credit section. I will always treasure the times at the back yard picnics and Brets kindness remembering and inviting me there. I was also glad to see him, enjoying his company, at the Pa. / Md. quarries not so long ago. I can only wish you the best at hanging in there ,especially the kids. When things happen my mother always said "this too shall pass"...I remembered this again in her passing a few years ago. Do the very best you can to carry on..........I know its hard, but we must all project to the future. There is an old tune goes "one things for sure, were all just passing through" ,,,,,,,,,,I most likley believe Bret could have appreciated that song quote.. it will some day apply to us all ..
