Born in Hackensack, NJ, she was the loving daughter of Richard J. Bona and Mame J. (Maschal) Bona.
Carolyn graduated from Wilson High School in 1983 and was last employed by Giant Food Stores in West Lawn; prior to that she worked at Arner's Family Restaurant in Wyomissing.
Carolyn was a parishioner of West Lawn United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was a
volunteer for West Lawn Wednesdays and Safe Haven Lighthouse.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard J. Bona. Survivors are mother, Mame J. Bona of Whitfield; brother, Richard J. Bona Jr., husband of Dorthea R., of West Hartford, CT; nieces: Marilena M. Bona and Evangelia A. Bona, and nephew, Alexandros A. Bona.
A service will take place at West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside, Ave., Reading, PA 19609 on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.. Friends and family may call at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 5-7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Lawn United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 15 Woodside Ave., Reading, PA 19609. Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com.

Mame and Rich
I first met Carolyn when I was manager at the Wilshire Pool. I continued to see her occasionally at Giant. She was always happy and friendly. She will be missed.
