Frank Jakielo Obituary
He was born in Southington on April 16, 1936, the son of the late Frank and Anna (Kizilski) Jakielo. He served six years in the U.S. military and was employed by the L. Suzio Construction Co. for 25 years, until his retirement. Jake was a member of the Teamsters and Retirees of Local No. 677 of Waterbury.
Mr. Jakielo is survived by his wife, Gertrude Jakielo of 29 years; children, Suzette Jakielo-Moroney and her husband, Sean, Joanne Lauster and her husband, Jim, Elaine Scaglione and John Scaglione; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, his beloved dog "Little Bit."
Jake was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Huskies.
Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Saturday, April 11 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Meriden. www.jferryfh.com.
