Nancy Almquist Obituary
Born Jan. 28, 1940, in Southington she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ingrid (Green) Gale. Nancy retired from Filenes. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 72 and an avid New York Yankees fan.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two children, Karen Perry and husband, "Bo", of Plainville, and Richard Almquist Jr., of Southington; a brother, Thomas Gale and wife, Shelly, of Southington; a sister, Barbara Gale, of Kensington, and Shelby Jordan whom she loved as her own granddaughter. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, at Oak Hill Cemetery. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 72, 64-66 Main St., Southington CT 06489.
