Heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Jon's family. It saddens me greatly to think that he is gone. He was one of the nicest men I've ever met. I'm retired from teaching now but Jon was a true friend when he long served the Tech school committee. He connected with teachers and showed sincere interest and affection for people and for his community. I will always remember him in the best possible light. God bless him.

My family and I will be forever grateful to have had John as our next door neighbor, friend, and Red Sox optimist. I am glad that he was able to take the "Maybe Next Year" signs off his lawn for at least a couple of Octobers during his life.
John always greeted all of us with smiles and, even though I moved away 8 years ago, I always went to visit him when I was in town.
We will always love and miss him.
