Aunt Bill was one of my most treasured blessing in my life! She had such a zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. She was so loved by all of her nieces and nephews and we will all miss her so much! I know that she made all of us feel so loved and special. She was a role model for me in the way that she lived her life!!
My love goes out to Joe Mike, Jann, and Kyle and the rest of her family. I know how much she loved them. Her big smile when she talked about each one of you told everyone that.
I smile when I think of the reunion in Heaven right now.
Love to every one of you!!

Granny (Bill) was an inspiration to me over the years. She was a wonderful example of a faithful servant of Jesus, a great Mother-in-law and a friend. I will always remember her smile, her singing, playing the piano, reciting all her teacher's names, saying verses she learned as a child, riding a horse, playing basketball, playing dominos, and beating me most of the time. She will always be in my heart. I love you, Granny, see you soon.

Granny will always live in my memory and be a part of who I am. She was reliably positive, full of mirth and "up for anything". She was constant in her faith; singing hymns and quoting encouraging scriptures at the drop of a hat. She was funny and dauntingly competitive. She taught me to look forward => rather than dwell on the past. She showed me that happiness is a choice regardless of your circumstances, and that God is faithful.
Granny, you are beautiful. I will miss you so much.

Granny Hale had a major impact on my life as she has with so many others. She had a cheerful disposition, loved to sing and chose to see good in people.
Granny had a great sense of humor and was quite a storyteller…she passed on this trait to her children and grandchildren (somehow I missed out on this gift). She showed me the importance of being able to laugh at yourself and not take yourself too seriously…
Granny, thank you for living out the values you hold dear and passing them down to your family. For choosing to take your children to church on Sunday even when it was inconvenient, showing love and kindness when you may not have felt like it. Thank you for modeling strength and courage in times of adversity. You have shown us what it means to walk by faith and not by sight. You've shown us what the love of Christ looks like and how to forgive. You experienced God's love and grace and gave it freely to others.
The values that you passed down to your son Joe Mike and to me, his eldest daughter, I hope I can pass on to my children and now their children. You have left a tremendous legacy! I love you Granny!!

I wasn't fortunate to meet Wilile Mae myself, but her daughter Jann is a friend of mine through our local writers group. Through her beautiful story of WIllie Mae's life, I was able to learn about her incredible life and deep love for her family and God. She will continue to live on through the beautiful family she created. Thank you, Jann, for sharing her life with us.

I became acquainted with Willie Mae through my cousins, Pat and Kyle Hale.
I have such wonderful memories of times spent with her, Aunt Ruby and my Mom on her visits to Arkansas. She was a loving and caring person and a joy to be around. Her love of God was evident. She will be greatly missed but we will be reunited with her again one day and what a reunion that will be.

Bill was a wonderful Mother in law to me. When the kids were little, she lived with us a couple of times for a short period of time.We were very poor during those years and she always encouraged me by praising my parenting skills and my frugality. I knew that I did not deserve this praise but it sure made me feel so good during a time that I really needed encouragement. She was always such a Godly example of a Proverbs woman. I will miss her very much

I never got to meet Willie Mae, but her wit and charm, singing from the heart, and always-caring love for others shine brilliantly through her daughter, my dear friend, Jann. Blessings on your journey, Willie Mae. Your spirit shines on!

I knew Willie Mae through her daughter, Jann, who is a special part of a group of 11 women who gather each summer to share a long weekend together. Although I never met Willie Mae, she lived brightly in the stories shared by Jann and I knew her to be a lovely and loved woman. Her family and friends will deeply miss her presence in their lives. My Granny has always held a special place in my heart. I love her so much! She read the Bible to me before bed when I visited her at Boles Children's Home in the summer. We'd play dominoes with her friends. We'd sell candy and cokes together at the candy store. We'd enjoy the evening swinging on her front porch swing. We'd talk and laugh as I "fluffed" her hair. Glowing, she'd introduce me to all her friends at the little church down the street. She loved God, and she loved people. You couldn't ask for a better grandmother or a better role model. See you soon, Granny! :-)

I have so many wonderful memories of Granny Hale. She was the best letter writer that I
know. I have saved lots of her letters that she has sent to me over the years. She lived her
life intentionally each day for the Lord. She intentionally kept
her mind sharp by doing crossword puzzles or reading and studying her Bible. She was a strong, confident woman. What a blessing and example she was to us all. I will miss her.

I will miss Granny Hale so much. I hope She seemed to brighten everybody's life in some way. She devoted most of her life in helping others, and her determination in later years of being as independent as her body would allow. Her example is a lesson for me and countless others who knew her.
