Daddy, I couldn't read the rough draft of this. I couldn't even make it through the whole obituary. A huge part of me has blocked out your passing. I continue to catch myself looking for you to tell you that I saw our bunnies in the yard, or that Charlie snored so loud he woke me up, I even peek in your den frequently, to see if you're in your recliner, ready to watch Gun Smoke with me. I will probably do those things for a while. My mind knows you are gone but my heart just won't accept it. My mind recalls everyone pushing me to your bedside, they told me i needed to say goodbye; I did what they advised, or I should say that the words at least came out of my mouth, but I'll never be ready to say goodbye to you. I can't and I won't. You are the greatest man that ever walked this earth, aside from Jesus, no one in their right mind would want to say goodbye to someone like you. You mean so very much to me. You showed me what true love and happiness were. Your love was so deep for your family that you didn't ever have to say the words "I love you" because you showed us everday that you did. You sacrificed so much so that your children could have; not only the things we needed but wanted. You worked so hard for your family. Sometimes your work days would turn into nights. Yet, you never complained. And when it came time for a well deserved day off work, a day where you could have rested, you instead set that day aside for your family; and it's those days that I will forever cherish...for they were spent having some of the best moments of my life. I know our memory making days are forever gone...but the memories we did make are memories full of love. I thank you so much for that, Daddy. I also thank you for always being there for me, supporting me through all my ups and my downs, for guiding me, providing for me, and making me feel so special. But having you as my dad meant that special wasn't just a feeling...special was something I was! I'm so very proud to be your daughter. I always have been and always will be. Daddy, this is so hard. Sometimes I just don't know what to do. I just miss you so much. I know youd want me to be strong, so I will try. But one thing I'll never do is let you go...I'll never tell you goodbye. lnstead just know that I love you and I'll see you again. Always yours, Tidy
