I knew Ian's in Tahoe when we worked at Kirkwood. We went to fire school together and practically lived together and then did live together tell I moved out of state. Iean esx truly was a "good guy". May his bright spirit shine on in our thoughts and prayers. I am also wondering about the circumstances of his death. I know death is not the end of the life that masters most, but a little closure would be appreciated. Anyone who reads this can contract me @5099294389 or FB and gmail me @ beaverschewwood.

I'm so proud of my son Ian, and all he had become in his life, cut short as it was. He was a loving father, husband and son, a dedicated firefighter and so much more. Ian was someone who was loved by many and returned their love. I can't believe he's gone... I'll see you again one day in heaven, my son.
Love, Dad

I knew Ian from working with him at Mt. Rose. He was a very kind and funny person. I miss the conversations we had at line up waiting for lessons. I remember how happy he was on his wedding day. It breaks my heart that God took him so soon. My prayers are with his wife and kids. And all who have lost him here on Earth.

I knew Ian only for two years. When I moved from the Angeles National Forest to the Plumas National Forest. My first day Ian welcomed me in to the district, Station and his Life as if I was always there from the beginning. Ian became my friend. Every day when we arrived for work we had time to talk about Family, our weekends, and hobbies. This was our time to bond as friends. I already miss the morning time we had.
Ian Thank You For Being My Friend.

Sometimes when we loose a family member, friend, or co-worker it's a complete shock. This was the case with Ian. He didn't have a long drawn out illness but instead was taken from us all overnight. Weddings and Funerals are the two things that bring people together. It also galvanizes a community to help each other with our loss. Yesterday our Wildland community and cooperative departments did just that for Ian's family, friends, and co-workers. Starting with Friday's procession from Stead Airport to the Walton Funeral Home to yesterday's procession to the church and services was nothing short of amazing and a HUGE blessing! The stories shared, the tears, the laughs were all part of the healing process for all affected by Ian's passing. Love ya brother and we'll see you when it's our time to enter into eternity with our heavenly Father.
