I remember when Clint was about 5 years old, we had a dog named Bell. Bell didn't like for anyone to get hit, so If Clint was bad which was rare (LOL) His mom would have to put Bell out one door while Clint ran to the other door to let her back in, knowing that his mom couldn't spank him with Bell in the house. This went on for awhile. I don't remember which of them won but we all got a good laugh from it.
I know you are with grandma and grandpa now, so you are ok.
We love and will miss you until we are all together again.

Love,
Uncle Mike

Clint Atwood. I miss you. I find that ironic to say considering that the first time I heard your name was from my 17 yr. old daughter and I knew there was trouble coming. I did not like you when I first met you and liked you even less when the words "I'm pregnant" came out of her mouth. At that time I wanted you to fall off the face of the earth and now I would give almost anything if you were here. You managed to change my mind about you through your love for my daughter,Krista, and all my grandchildren. I can't put an exact time on when you changed my mind but you did. I watched you love Clinton from the moment he was born and when little Nisa came to live with us and didn't have a daddy it just seemed so natural that you decided to take on the role. You loved and spoiled her as your own. What a testament to the loving, happy person that you were. We did not always see eye to eye on things but over the years we learned a mutual respect for each other. I guess maybe I was the closest thng to a mother-in-law that you had and you were the closest thing to a son I had. I watched you take care of Krista in the hospital. You were so good to her. When I called to tell you what had happened you were at the hospital almost before we got off the phone. I knew when I went back to Texas that you would be there for her if she needed you. What I didn't know was how good you were going to take care of her until we got little Savanna Rae! And what a blessing she is. She looks just like you.
Your easy going ways and big smile are missed by all who knew you.
I am so sorry tht Clinton, Nisa and Savanna will not have you in their lives.
I am so sorry that none of us will have you in our lives and so thankful that we did for a while.

Wow I didnt want to believe that it was true, Clint and I were always getting into trouble as kids. I couldnt wait for the summer or the holidays to come around because I always knew Clint was coming to Salinas. My favorite memory was when Uncle Ricky took Clints sunflower seed early one saturday morning and ran down England Ave. and not 2 seconds later you see Clint chasing after him in nothing but boxers and cowboy boots. Clint was the last face I saw when I left Salinas, I ran to the car because I didnt want to say goodbye because I always thought we would see each other again someday. My condolences are with his family, god bless, and may he rest in peace.

I met Clint when I was 6 years old, he was my neighbor in Salinas. He was really my very first friend, growing up we lost touch, but everytime I would see him he would stop to say hello. Very much like his grandfather and a very sweet and humble guy. I'm sad for his loss and for his family, hopefully they take comfort in his memories.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Clint. My family is neighbors with his paternal grandmother. One of the first memories that I have of Clint is of when we were younger he always wanted to play cowboys. My sisters and I always wanted to ride bikes instead, but never did. My sympathy goes to his lovely children and his family, especially to his grandmother Dolores. You will be missed my friend.

Clint was not just a good friend but so much like family to me and others that had known him a longtime. He was a respectful guy when it came to others. Loving and caring, he would watch over me like a big brother. He would treat my mother like she was a mother figure to him. You will be missed by everyone that even met you for a second. We will grieve along with his family that he loved with all his heart. We will miss you, but we know that you are with God and we will meet again.

I'm at a loss for words. Cannot believe Clint is gone. I get to see his handiwork (he painted my entire place) every day. We made plans for Savannah Rae to go to the Aquarium and see the beautiful Monterey area and so much more. He was a great young man and I'm proud to have known him. I'll miss his friendship sooo much. I'm looking forward to meeting his friends, who meant so much to him.

Beyond his piercing eyes and incredible smile, Clint had a winning personality; he was both funny and respectful. He definitely had manners! A few years ago I took him to buy him a Bible and he was so appreciative and reverent. May the Lord comfort all of us who loved him. He was one of my boys and I will miss him.

I met Clint when I was 5. Columbia school. He used to hold my hand in class... I was friends with him all through the school years. The last time I saw him were both 21. He had already grown into a fine young man. I know that even after 12 years ... he would stay a good man. I send out a heartfelt prayer for his family and children, let God and your memories get you through this unbelievable tragedy. I will continue to pray for you. Stormee (Walker) Duclos

Clint and I were childhood pals since before kindergarten. Our moms met each other in the hospital when we were just babies for a checkup. We played together on the dirt roads and fished for frogs in the horse trough. He was the first kid I knew who owned a guitar and could play. He was one of the sweetest souls I have known. My family and I will miss his smile and presence here I wish strength and peace to his family and all his friends. We love you, Clint xoxo.
