I feel such sadness for you, Dick, and the family that Carol enjoyed so much. Her bright outlook and her rock-solid determination to live a good life and to be a good person was an inspiration to all of us who knew her. I'm remembering our high school vacations on Balboa Island, our goofy fun, our days at Valley, the darling dresses she made for my twins, our Valley reunions and NHHS picnics, our phone visits, Barone's pizza . . . so many happy times together. Marti was an extraordinary person and a wonderful friend - funny, loyal, and kind, always. I will carry an image of her in my heart - with her bright blue eyes and cute little smile - as long as I live.
My heartfelt sympathy and love,

Cheryl and I want to express our deepest sympathies to Carole's family, and specially to Dick. Cheryl has never met Carole or Dick, but I have explained to her how great a family you all are, and how Sue and I had some great times with them in Redding. Boating, fishing, having pizza at the pizza & beer joint with all the kids & grandkids. Just heard about Chuck, also, so please pass along our condolences to Judy and her family. We know it is a very tough time for you all, we have both been there. Family support and faith in God will get you through this time. Our prayers are with you all.

I was one of Carol's grandaughters and I can't even begin to explain how lucky I feel to have had such a wonderful lady in my life. It's sad thinking about not being able to see her whenever I want but the great memories I have with her is something I will cherish forever. She taught me so much about love, life, and just being the good person that God wants us to be. Always missing you Grandma... Love Bailee p.s. You are the prettiest angel in heaven!

Dear Dick,
The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love always leaves a memory no one can take away. When you are sorrowful look in your heart, and you'll see that you are weeping for the one who has been your life's delight. Dick, Carol was such a beautiful person and a true Angel of God. All in heaven are rejoicing at her arrival, while those left behind are grieving at our loss. Please always remember, our loss is heaven’s gain.
With you in prayer, Michelle (Wampler) Garrett

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Carol will be missed. Just yesterday I was going through my album of the trip taken to Sweden and Norway with you both. A fun adventure, to be sure! And discovering that Nueme, Carol and I were having Lasik surgery on the same day was a comforting coincidence! I didn't know her well, but will continue to think fondly of her and the times we shared. May memories and family comfort you.
