Lillian Louise Hawes Grignon

Lillian Grignon born February 18, 1929 on the Hawes Ranch in Anderson, CA, she went home to the Lord on October 9, 2010 after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer, surrounded by several of her children at her home in Redding.

This long time Shasta County resident was a descendent of a Shasta County Pioneer family, a charter member of the Anderson Seventh Day Adventist Church, and a volunteer of the Shasta County Historical Society.

Lillian married Kenneth Eugene Grignon, April 6, 1947 in Paradise, CA and were one 'til his death January 20, 1995.
She attended Shasta College then Chico State graduating Magna Cum Laude in June 1985 with a psychology degree.

She was preceded in death by her father Henry Frederick Hawes, her mother Almeda Madeline Armstrong nee Scott, and her husband Kenneth.

She is survived by her sister Lola Schwartz of Redding, a brother John Hawes of Anderson, her daughters Kena Tyler of Mtn View, AR, Victoria Chung of Palm Springs, CA, Madelyn Haynes of Gresham, OR, Virginia Grignon of Redding, Laura Elmore of Vancouver WA, Judith Martin of Hillsboro, OR and Lorene Meek of Rocklin, CA. She also leaves two sons Paul Grignon of Portland, OR and Kenneth Grignon of Ringgold, GA. She also left 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services also held on October 13, 2010 at 11 am at Anderson Allen & Dahl.
Interment in Anderson Cemetery.
