Dear Tom and Family,
I just learned about Nancy's passing. I had sent her an email several months ago, and realizing I hadn't received a reply (very unusual), so I looked up the obituary.
I'm saddened, and I also recall what a wonderful woman she was.
I treasured my visits with her and with you.
Many Blessings to you and your family.

I met Nancy nearly 20 years ago when I was just starting out in Kidpower. She provided me with many nuggets of wisdom and motivation over the years. Every time we met, I enjoyed the moments and conversations we had. Nancy continues to inspire me with, what feels to me, as part of her legacy: a woman with an amazingly strong, positive and heartfelt energy, a deep-rooted determination and a zest for life. I am thankful to have had the joy of knowing her personally as well as for all the wonderful input and leadership she has brought to Kidpower's work.

Nancy was a joyful, powerful person who taught me a lot and who made a tremendous difference in countless lives. Her clear-headed and practical wisdom - and her loving and encouraging presence - will live on in inspiring each of us lucky enough to know her to do our best. Her leadership in Kidpower has led to greater safety and empowerment for over 4 million children, teens, and adults - and will keep on growing in the years ahead.

I met Nancy many years ago when she served on the Santa Cruz County Women's Commission. We lost touch when she moved to Mt. Shasta but I always valued our friendship. Over the last month or so she was on my mind so I thought I'd look her up and try to reconnect. I was saddened to find her obituary but heartened to read about the wonderful things she had been doing since I last saw her. My heart goes out to her husband Tom and all those who will miss her dearly on a daily basis. I'm sure she is continuing her good work on the other side and I look forward to meeting up with her some day. Light and love to you Nancy.
