Thomas Taylor Obituary
Thomas A. Taylor, a decorated Vietnam war veteran, died December 30, 2017. Tom was born December 11, 1945, to parents John W. Taylor and Mary C. Taylor. He grew up in Redlands, attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Redlands High School in 1963. Tom is survived by his sons, Aaron and Shawn Taylor, his sisters, Helen Barton and Anna Marie Taylor, and brothers, George, Lawrence and Paul Taylor. He was predeceased by brothers, Edward and Joe Taylor, and sister, Mary Taylor. A military service will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, January 22nd at 10:45 a.m. followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge, located at 663 New York Street Redlands. Memorial donations may be made to the Friends of A.K.Smiley Public Library, "Tom Taylor Children's Book Fund", 125 West Vine Street, Redlands, CA 92373. This fund was established by Tom in 2014, for the purpose of placing books in the hands of children from homes with reduced circumstances and limited book ownership.

Tommy, you were an early childhood friend of mine at Sacred Heart School, and always lighted up the room! Though through the years we have all walked our separate ways, you brought back together so many people through social media and certainly through your support of our veterans. I know that you have to be in heaven. A life well-lived.
