J. ROBERT WEST, M.D.
Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed peacefully away at home on March 12, 2015. He was affectionately known as "Dr. Bob" by his staff and coworkers, many with whom he practiced medicine over the last 50 years as a Dermatologist in Redlands and the surrounding areas. He was a kind and considerate physician who had a sincere concern for his patients and staff. His sunny disposition and keen sense of humor endeared him to many.
He graduated from Stanford and continued his training in a residency at the Mayo Clinic in Dermatology. During these years as a student he kept up his hobby in music.
He was very supportive of the scouting programs and served as Chairman of the Grayback District. He was a member of the Redlands Rotary. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served in many leadership capacities.
He is survived by a loving family who revere him as a husband and father. He was the devoted husband of his wife Donna Hatch West for 57 years. Together, they raised ten children, all who were raised in Redlands. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 21st at the Redlands Stake Center, 350 S. Wabash Avenue, Redlands, CA 92374. The viewing will be held from 9:15 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. with services to begin at 11:00 A.M. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
