I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Hanlon. I have many wonderful memories of her and your family from my childhood. She was also one of a very few that kept in touch with my mother when she became ill and somewhat of a recluse. It is never easy losing someone we love. My thoughts are with you. God bless, April (Faust) Yoder.

Mrs Hanlon has been part of our extended family now for so many years. When Liz and Paul married she was always a welcomed face at family events. The only comfort there is to give you at a time like this is that she is no longer in pain or suffering and is at peace. She is now with those whom she loved, that have gone before her.She will be forever in our hearts and our memories and The entire Hanlon family will always be in our hearts and prayers. Our sympathy goes out to all of you. Shirley volunteered at the Avon Public Library for many years, answering the phone on Thursday mornings. She was a good friend to many of us, always interested in our lives and what was happening at the Library. We enjoyed hearing about her travels. We will miss her. Virginia Vocelli

To the family of our friend Shirley: we are both so sad to hear about Shirley, who volunteered for many years here at the Avon Library. We had many talks & laughs. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. I did not know her well, but what I did know of her, I liked very much. You pretty much always knew where you stood with Shirley and I, for one, will miss her very much.
