Florene Johnson Obituary
Florene was born in Springfield, OR on August 9, 1933, to Sidney and Lissie Waldrip. She was the youngest of seven children. She attended schools in Glenwood, Junction City and Eugene, and graduated from University High School in 1951.
Florene married Robert Johnson on March 30, 1951. She was active in the PTA when her sons were in grade school and junior high. She worked for the Bethel School District as a teacher's aide; also as a secretary and bookkeeper for two beer distributors and a tour company.
Florene and her husband Bob moved to Florence, OR in 1989, where they lived on Munsel Lake. She loved to fish and garden. Failing health and the lack of a specialist in Florence made them return to Eugene in 2003.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Johnson, her sons Robert Allen Johnson "BJ" and Timothy Neil Johnson "TJ", four grandchildren, Kendra, Jaydra, Dylan and Emma, and one great-grandson.
