Albert Jagger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 6, 2016.
Albert Cloyd Jagger

AL Jagger went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 23rd, 2016, in Eugene, Oregon, at the age of 98. He was born March 7th, 1918, in Chester, Oklahoma. His childhood was spent in Oklahoma and Kansas, migrating as a young man to Idaho, until 1951, when he relocated to Eugene with his family.

He was an avid sports fan. He loved his Ducks, Emeralds, Seahawks, and Mariners. He loved to bowl and his bowling family.

He was a wonderful, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He took such joy in watching his grandchildren grow and have families of their own. He is survived by his two sons: James and David; his six grandchildren: Justin, Jennifer, David, Dawn, Sarah and Rebecca; and his 11 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Noah, Harris, Lily, Everest, Ethan, Abby, Matthew, Jack, Kaitlyn, and Ava.

He served the community in many ways, one of which was as the chairman of the board of directors for the Holt International Adoption agency, going to Korea on several occasions to bring back children for adoption. He was a lifelong member of the First Church of the Nazarene and loved his church family.

Approximately 15 years ago, he became committed to affirming the "true meaning" of Christmas and Easter. He birthed an idea of distributing lawn signs and billboards to people who wished to make a similar demonstration of faith. During the years of this commitment, he distributed approximately 80,000 lawn signs and billboards in various states and countries.

If you knew him at all, you knew that he enjoyed people and loved to share stories. He would love for you to come to his celebration at the First Church of the Nazarene, 830 Madison, Eugene, OR, on Saturday, December 10th, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. For those who cannot attend in person, the celebration will be broadcast and streamed live. To view the celebration and service online, to www.efcnaz.org, click on the "livestream" button, and press "play".

I am always happy to see the Christmas signs that Al made possible. What a legacy he has left through the signs and gifts to the Jesus film. Blessings to his family in this time.

You will be missed by some many people. I'm glad we had the time we shared and I'm sure you're happy to be back home. Keep bowling and I'll see you when I finish my game.

R.I.P. Al. Hope you get to bowl that 300.
