I have fond memories of Lil from my youth in the 1950s and ‘60s when we were neighbours. (I was Barbara’s first babysitter.) I remember her as a warm and gentle person, someone who seemed to respond to life’s joys and tragedies with equanimity and good grace. Lil worked “outside the home” when it was rare to do so. That plus her often stylish appearance added to her glamour. I seem to remember a long fur coat with a turned up collar. Yes, she left an impression on me.
Neither my mother (Jean Turner) nor I am able to attend Thursday’s service, but our thoughts will be with you. Our condolences to Barbara and the Abram and Foster families.
Sincerely, Marilyn Turner

We are so deeply sadden to hear of Auntie Lillian's passing. Everyone who knew her will miss her wonderful sense of humour and her caring heart. Mom appreciated all of her visits. They were best friends, and now they will be together once again.
