Payten taught me everything i know about hunting, fishing, anything in the shop class. He was like a big brother to me and i know that his is in a way better place, and im going to keep praying for you terry. love ya

I loved this kid with all my heart, and i cant wait to see his smile again. I will never forget when i came out to the house to target practice with his family. Thats when i knew i never wanted to let that family go. that is one of the best memories i have with Payten and his family and i will cherish it forever!

im so so sorry about payten ive known him since sixth grade and there wasn't a day that he didn't have a smile. he was a great friend and was like a brother. he was a great guy and he's gonna be missed the vaughn family is in my prayers
