Sally Edmondo Obituary

Sally Edmondo

July, 27, 1933

February, 17, 2017

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Sally Emery Edmondo, passed away Friday, February 17. She was born in Manchester, CT, attended Bates College in Maine and worked in New York before moving to New Jersey with her husband Donald (Don). In the early sixties she moved with Don to California for work. She raised her 4 sons Doug, Clark, Gary and Jon in beautiful San Rafael, CA and retired with Don to Lake Tahoe, NV, She eventually moved to Reno to be closer to two of her sons.

She was a wonderful woman, and we were lucky to have her in our lives for as long as we did. She blessed her sons and grandchildren with countless opportunities. She loved to read and travel, and instilled in all of us a love of learning. When family was together with grandma, she would recount all the places she'd travelled and books she read. She loved England and Ireland but was less enthusiastic about China and Russia. She watched Bill O'Reilly, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune almost every night. She could not resist spoiling all of our pets, feeding Cheena oreo cookies and letting Marley or Destiny sleep at her feet in the evening, while she read or watched TV. She was the type who seemed to always get her way. On a grander scale, she lived through (and remembered) several important and decisive eras of history. We're going to miss Grandma, yet we're thankful for all the time we had with her. Even though she is gone, her lessons in life, love and living will not be forgotten.

She is survived by her four Sons; Doug, Clark, Gary and Jon. Eight Granddaughters; Parisa, Aimee, Danielle, Samantha, Ashlyn, Jenna, Audrey and Megan. Two Grandsons; Brian and Daniel, and her great grandson Xander. Sally was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her sister Genie and her parents Phillip and Elsie.

Memorial Service Pending.

I'm so sorry for your loss, death is never something easy to deal with, but God keeps our loved ones in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. May the soothing words in God's word bring comfort and hope. (Jude: 20, 21)
