I am so, so sorry to hear this news.
I would like to share a story about Mr. Green and the type of man he was. When I was in 7th grade at BD Billinghurst, Mr. Green received a phone call from my mother telling him that my younger brother had almost drowned and was at St Mary's. Mr. Green came out to the playground and found me. He told me what had happened, and he personally put me in his car and drove me to the hospital. I will never, ever forget this man's kindness and leadership. Thank you, Mr. Green. This is one student whom you made a life lasting impression on. My condolences and prayers go out to the Green family. Please know that he wasn't just a good man... he was a GREAT man.
By the way, my brother came out of his coma 2 days later and is doing fine.

At a Reno High 50-year reunion - Class of 1959 - Chet's name received the lion's share of applause when it was read, in enumerating some of our favorite teachers. (Of course we called him "Mr. Green" at Central Jr. High in 1951, where he was vice-principal under principal Chauncey King.) He was a fine mentor who, with Lee, became a good friend in our later years...
