Barbara Helen Clower

CLOWER, Barbara Helen, 80, of Goochland County, died Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born to the late Wayne O. Richmond and Pauline Hart Richmond on September 24, 1936 in Raleigh County, W.Va. Barbara was an avid reader and book collector and was especially fond of illustrated children's books. She ran a successful used book retail store for more than a decade in Richmond, Va. Barbara's favorite things were a house full of family, an afternoon working in the garden and, once in a while, a cold Red Eye out on the porch on a hot summer evening. Barbara is survived by her husband of 58 years, David E. Clower of Goochland County; and by three children, Laura Clower of Champaign, Illinois, Elizabeth Drum and David B. Clower of Richmond, Va. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
