Alyne Vaughan Surratt

Alyne Vaughan Surratt, 64, of 2148 Sunset Drive, Pulaski, Va., died early on Thursday morning, June 3, 2010 ,at her home. She was born in Pulaski on July 19, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Vaughan. Surviving are her husband, Charles Lewis Surratt, of Pulaski; mother, Hazel Rorrer Vaughan, of Pulaski; daughter, Lisa Faye Nixon Johnson, of Christiansburg; sons, Pokey Nixon, of Pulaski, and Timothy Michael Surratt, of Lynchburg; sister, Elizabeth King, of Barren Springs; brother, Sonny Vaughan, Pulaski; and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010, from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randall Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in the Surratt Family Cemetery, Carroll County. Visiting will be held on Sunday evening, June 6, 2010, from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
