Harry David Coltrane

Harry David (Bill) Coltrane, 87, of Pulaski, Va., died early Sunday morning, October 31, 2010, at his home. He was born in Virginia on February 26, 1923, and was the son of the late Lawrence Morgan Coltrane and Bessie Midkiff Coltrane. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jones Coltrane; and by numerous brothers and sisters. Mr. Coltrane was a retired postal carrier for the United States Postal Service and was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II having served in Europe. He was also a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Melba Coltrane, Gary Coltrane; grandchildren, Christie C. Sexton, Ellen C. and Jason Green, Lynn C. Gray, Lora C. and Adam Snyder; seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Coltrane's wishes were to have no visitation or funeral service.
