I so loved this marvelous Lady and I really loved the time that we spent together. I had the great priviledge of taking care of her last winter and early this year, and I loved talking with her about the Bible and the 23rd Psalms, which she made up as she went along. We would each say a line of the psalm, and I think the funniest time was when I started it off by...The Lord is my shepherd, and her next line was... he leadeth me to my gravy and bread. Even though she didn't realize it, she was still teaching, teaching me just how God supplies us all with what we need most, even if at the time it may be bread and gravy. I will miss her greatly and I pray for Lena and all of the family. Lena, you were a very wonderful daughhter, you were her pride and joy. You not only took care and orchestrated her care, but you also put aside your own well being and made her life primary. You gave her the dignity of never having to leave her home and going into a nursing home, which would have killed her, but allowed her to go peacefully to our Saviour in the comfort of the home she so cherished. I know without a doubt that Miss Margaret is in the "New World, Heaven, that she so often talked about with me, and I long to see her once again, Debby Smith Conner from Woolwine, VA

Aunt Margaret I'm going to miss you. I enjoyed the times when you and your sisters got together and told your childhood stories. The visits we had together when I was growing up. The times in Roanoke when we came to visit you and Pete and Cam. I will treasure those memories forever. Thanks

this one is the very sweetest one I have ever read. I could only imagine all the help that she gave those dear students/pupils in her school room. I don't know her but I surely wish I could have had a share in her life. Marilyn Nash Beebe from Bassett, Va, Chicago, IL. and now Las vegas, NV.

Mom,
You will always be in our hearts. We can't even imagine Floyd without you: Your gorgeous flowers, all of your fairy-tale stories and of course your biscuits.
For us, you were just a conversation away.
We love you always,
Paul and Lee
