I knew Gerald from Chris his partner. Chris and Gerald where hardly ever apart so if I called or he called I talked to Garald too.
I will always remember our short talks because he was a man who got to the point and meant what he said. I will miss him. My heart knows that he will be missed but he is in a much better place in heaven. God bless Gerald and his family.

I knew Gerald for only a short time, about 7 months. We met, along with his partner, at a Christmas Eve dinner given by a friend. Gerald was at that time a man of few words, but when he spoke he spoke with authority. You knew exactly what Gerald thought when he had something to say.
I found him to have an elegance that is very unusual, almost a pristine quality. Elegance is a trait I greatly admire -- and it's almost non-existent nowadays.
I saw and spoke with Gerald within 2 weeks of his death. He was still very elegant, and crystal clear in his thoughts. Also, I found him to be quite warm and appreciative, and a gracious host. I had no inkling he would pass so soon – his mind was wholly intact and he was entirely lucid and very funny, in his dry way.
He had a unique energy that was interesting to be around, and I’d looked forward to getting to know him better. Gerald will undoubtedly be missed by his friends, family, and partner.

Iremember Gerald from the early nineties in Boston, MA. He was genuine, sweet & kind to all who knew him. It is with sadness that I hear he's died. May God Bless Gerald & his family. William Burns
