Erma Flint Obituary

Erma Hale Flint, 82, of Buchanan, Va., and formerly of Madison, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at her son's residence in West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Nettie Miller; her first husband, Thomas Hale Sr.; daughter, Brenda Smith; daughter-inlaw, Hazel Hale; granddaughter, Sharon Hale; two brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, James Flint, of Buchanan, Va.; two sons, Thomas Hale Jr. and Danny (Jeannie) Hale, all of Madison, W.Va.; two stepchildren, Kevin (Hope) Flint and Susan Wendling, all of Buchanan, Va.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, all of Madison, W.Va.; five stepgrandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a host of friends; and a special friend whom she called her adopted son, Dr. Jan Cunningham, of Charleston, W.Va. A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Botetourt Funeral Home in Buchanan, Va. A visitation will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, W.Va. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, W.Va., with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville, W.Va. You may express your condolences to the family at www.handleyfh.com.
