Joyce Mack Patterson

Mrs. Joyce Mack Patterson, 77, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010. She was born in Newark, N.J., to the late Irene and Jeremiah Mack. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her devoted husband, Van Everett (Ed) Patterson; sisters, Geraldine Ferrell, of Richmond, Va., and Adele Williams, of Athens, Ga.; and brothers, Marvin Mack, of Long Valley, N.J., and James Mack, of Snellsville, Ga. Included in her extended family are a host of nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Lillie Patterson, Barbara Patterson and Frances Chubb (Richard), of Roanoke. The family wishes to thank the staff of Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the wonderful attention given during the illness and death of our loved one. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at the HamlarCurtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gina D. Rochelle officiating assisted by the Reverend Herman Word.
