Regis M. Clements

Mrs. Regis M. Clements, of Roanoke, Va., and formerly of Bluefield, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2010, following a short illness. She was born in Bristol, Va., where she attended school in the public school system. She attended Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio. She was a retired switch board operator at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, and was a foster grandparent. She was a current member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va., and a long standing member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bluefield W.Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Clements; mother, Ruby L. Madison Baker; her father, Douglas Earl Madison; and her granddaughter, Nichoe Lachelle Simmons. Survivors include three daughters, Andra Amaker and Thomasteen (Tina) Bradshaw, both of Bluefield, W.Va., and Daynora (Lynn) ClementsCaul, of Durham, N.C.; one son/nephew, Gary C. Ridley (Deborah); six grandchildren; Reginal Simmons, Tyjuan Simmons, Donald Amaker, Semada Clements, Aleshia Jones and Carrington Caul; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nephews, nieces, and adopted family members. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Lewis officiating.
