Blanche Hall Dickerson

Blanche Hall Dickerson, 86, of Ellett, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 7, 2010, at Heritage Hall Health Care Center. She was born in Salem, Va., on January 11, 1924, to the late Henry Irvin and Effa Rae Wells Hall. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 69 years, William Ray Dickerson, of Ellett; two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry R. and Diane Dickerson, and William Michael and Shirley Dickerson, all of Blacksburg; five grandchildren, Gretchen Dickerson, Heather Dickerson, Christie Dickerson, Ginger Dickerson, and Leslie Dickerson; six greatgrandchildren including Nicholas who brought much joy to Mrs. Dickerson when he visited her at Heritage Hall. Mrs. Dickerson had many special friends at Heritage Hall and the family wishes to thank them for their dedication and friendship over the last three years. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after noon on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
