Carl Dunford Obituary

Carl Wayne Dunford, 69, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 25, 2010, following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Ann Dunford; his parents, James and Vinnie Dunford; and sister, Mary Lee Capps. Leaving behind to cherish his memory a daughter, Gail Deisher; grandchildren, Dora West and James M. Deisher; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Dakota West; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Deborah Dunford, Robert and Jackie Dunford, Daniel and Sandra Dunford, and Joe and Deborah Dunford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Freda and Jerry Buckner, Revea Dunford, Theresa and Roger Young, and Vinnie Dunford; many nieces and nephews; a special niece, Janie Sizemore; and a very special niece that helped take care for him during his sickness, Gina Arnold. Funeral Services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Graveside will follow 2 p.m. on Monday in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Bluefield, Va. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday evening, June 27, 2010, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va.
