I was blessed to call Mike a friend when I worked at VSP Division HDQ in Salem. He was such an inspiration to all who knew him. When I thought it was hard on me to get up and go to work, I would think of Mike and the struggles he had in life. My problems were none compared to his. His attitude was unbelievable. He appreciated even the simple things you did for him, such as helping him put on his jacket. He spoke often of how much he loved his "girls". Take care and God Bless you.

Mike was a true man of God.Cindy my heart goes out to you and your family.I wish there were some words I could speak and you and the girls heart would not hurt so much.But I know God needed a special angle up there and knew Mike was the one to fit the bill.I remember the last time we saw you and mike and the girls how very proud he was of his family.And I will always remember his smile.

I was so blessed to have seen Mike at the church auction this fall after 20+ years since we graduated. He had a cruel disease, but I know that now he is walking and in no pain. I am praying for your family.

I will always remember Mike for being such a great worker. In spite of his physical problems, he was always at work. He was an inspiration to all who came in contact with him.

Cindy and your beautiful girls: My life was so enriched when you all came into it. Mike is someone that God gave us for a short period of time but what an impact he had on me. His love of his family and the love of the community was beyone measure. I am so sorry for your loss, but God picked a beautiful rose when he picked him to come home.
