Janis Rutledge Obituary

Janis Onda Rutledge, 62, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Onda Young Sr., siblings, George Jr., and Dennis; and husband, Sidney Rutledge. Janis was a member of Morningside Manor Council, a seamstress, a Senior Citizen Police Officer, and she adored her cat, "Baby." She is survived by daughters, Sarah Rutledge, Stacy Alonso, Susan Adamcik, and Jodi Nester; 15 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and special friend, James Cox. A Celebration of Life will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the Morningside Manor Community Center with Pastor Todd Conn officiating.
