I cannot imagine the loss you feel but know there is a God who loves and cares for you and will bring you through this. Dearest David & Shirley, No one can truly understand your pain at this time. Not even someone that has lost a child, because they did not lose your son, David. We all have such wonderful memories of our youth and with those memories comes to mind the fun times we all shared with David. Shirley, you know how much I love you and always have. We have had a special bond for many years. I hurt for you and pray for you in the coming days months and weeks ahead of you. Always remember, he loved you both and he was loved by many. That was apparent today at his service. It was a tribute to a man that lived a life of kindness to others. As his parents you should be ever so proud, as I know you are. Know that I am always here for you. I love you with all my heart. Hold onto your memories and know that you are loved by many.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Altice,

With great sadness I read of David's untimely passing. He was such a wonderful childhood and teenage friend (we were both LBHS class of '76). Your son's friendly, good-natured demeanor and sense of humor made him so much fun to be around. Boy, he could play a mean saxophone, too! Even though we had not crossed paths for years, I will always remember him for the good, kind, decent person he was.
With sincere condolences,

David and Shirley, my heart aches for you but I know God's grace is sufficient and you will get through this but the memories will last forever. The tears will flow but they have a way of cleansing also. Praying for you both.

Shirley and David, my prayers for you are ongoing. May God fill your heart where there is now a vacancy. We can all be certain of one thing and that is that we will all soon crossover to join Davie and many other loved ones where we will together sing "Sounds of Joy." Davie was a special guy. I can remember just about every young girl in the youth back in the day having a crutch on Davie at one point or another. He was very kind and gentle with a sweet spirit. Paul recorded in II Cor 12:9 having heard Christ say, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Cling to Christ, He is all there is.

Dave I can't believe this has happened to you! All I can say is God has a wonderful person in Heaven now and a great musician! You were my first love and we had so many plans. I guess we just took a wrong road to getting there. I will never forget you and the wonderful times we shared. There is a saying and I will leave it at that. "In the end, we will all be together again my friend!" Love Always, Sonja. Dave and Shirley, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart hurts so very much for both of you! I love you both!
