Anna Shawver Obituary

Anna Lee Harshbarger Shawver, 93, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 11, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Shawver and a daughter, Phyllis Anne Sutphin Simms. Surviving are her son, Millard Young, of Richmond; grandchildren, Lori Anne Cain, Patrice Shepherd, Susan Bradsher, Jon David Sutphin, and Forrest Young; and numerous greatgrandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the League of Older American's Senior Companion Program, P O Box 6357, Roanoke, Va. 24017-0357. A cryptside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, 366-0707.
