Gaynell L. Anderson

Gaynell L. Anderson, 60, of Blue Ridge, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Nellie Letchford; brother ,Sam; and sister, Betty. She was a former employee of the Shenandoah Buffett. Surviving are her husband, Michael Anderson Sr.; children, Frances Haupt, of Bedford, Kimberly Anderson, of Roanoke, and Michael Haupt, of New York; stepchildren, Michael Anderson Jr., of Roanoke, and Carolyn Maynard, of Bedford; seven grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Clark and husband, David, of Bedford, Carolyn Lavinder, of Lynchburg, and Barbara Johnson and husband, Luther, of North Carolina; brothers, Russell Letchford, of Franklin County, and Bobby Letchford, of Lynchburg; mother-in-law, Elva Puckett, of Salem; brothers-in-law, Malcom Anderson and wife, Nola, and Martin (Marty) Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bowles and husband, Kermit, and M. Gaye Littrell. A Funeral Service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Roy Kanode. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010, at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
