Shocked is the best way I can put it. Freddie was a very good friend of mine when we worked at the Salem PD. He was always a pleasure to be around and always had that smile. You will be missed by all.

We were never so shocked to see that Freddie had passed. Just two weeks ago, Freddie called me out of the blue. What a joy! Please know we're thinking of and praying for all of you. Freddie was a great person who always knew how to make you smile and feel special. He was surely very special to me... I sure will miss him.

I was saddened to here about Freddie. Jerry Cooper was my husband who died in June and he and Freddie were best of friends growing up. Freddie and Jerry went to work at the Salem Fire Department together in 1964.
He will be missed!

My husband and I both enjoyed working with Freddie when he was with the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office. A great guy and had a great sense of humor. He will surely be missed by everyone that knew him. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Freddie will surely be missed. He is one of the good guys! He is also the best brother in law I ever had. We had some good times in years past and I was honored to be part of his family.
