Sarah Burford Obituary

Sarah Louise Burford, 78, of Salem, Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray and Virginia Saunders; and several brothers. Her surviving family includes her husband, Edward Eugene Burford; son, Mark Coleman; stepchildren, Timothy E. Burford and wife, Cynthia, and Sharon M. Mahala and husband, James; two grandchildren; stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Burford, Christopher Mahala, and Benjamin Mahala; several nieces and nephews including, Melody Palmer and Preston Saunders; and sister-in-law, Clara Saunders. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton with Pastor Tommy Hurt officiating. Louise was our aunt. Our father Paul was her brother. We have many fond memories of her especially as children. We loved her very much. She will be missed.
