James Leonard McCarty

James Leonard McCarty, 82, of Bedford, Va., died on Sunday, August 8, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Alexandria, Va., on February 11, 1928, a son of the late Raymond McCarty and Margaret Miller McCarty. He was a retired supervisor with the United States Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Marian McCarty; his daughter, Kathy M. Boozer, of Blue Ridge; his son, James L. McCarty Jr., of Sommerset, Mass.; three grandchildren, Vicki Boozer, Sean McCarty, and Matthew McCarty; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond McCarty, of Herndon; and many wonderful friends including, Dana and David Tinsley.
